Villar slams critics, says they're planning to remove him from Senate presidency
Senate President Manuel Villar vented his ire Wednesday, saying his critics in the Senate are still planning to unseat him.
In an interview, Villar said some senators have been meeting and that their clear plan is to remove him as Senate president.
He added that he has not been deigning to act against these people.
"The problem with some of these people is that they only see themselves as the opposition," Villar said, adding that this group doesn't have the monopoly in opposing the administration.
He related that though he did not bother to talk to those who organized the group against him, he did try to talk to its members and discovered their plan about trying to remove him as the Senate head after the May elections.
"Up to now, they still won't quit," he said.
