Abra trader shot dead
BANGUED, Abra – A 54-year-old trader was gunned down while his wife and a teenager were wounded in an attack in the public market of this capital town last Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Senior Superintendent Alexander Pumecha, Abra police director, said Charito Fillon, a barangay councilman, and his wife, Mercuria, 51, were closing their stall when the gunmen appeared and fired at Fillion with caliber .45 pistols.
Fillon died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds, while his wife was hit in the right shoulder.
July Tadeo, 18, a helper in a nearby tall, was wounded in the nape.
The Fillons were reportedly also engaged in the lending business. – Artemio Dumlao
