Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace Durano said it is essential for local officials and residents to keep tourist destinations not only crime-free but also safe from dengue and other infectious dis-eases.
“I am calling on mayors of the different tourist destinations in the country to take necessary measures to prevent dengue outbreaks in their areas,” said.
Durano issued the call amid reports of dengue cases in various parts of the country, including popular tourist destinations like Cebu, Bohol and Manila.
