4 dead in trike-truck collisions

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Four people died and two others were injured when two tricycles smashed into 10-wheeler trucks in separate incidents in Guiguinto, Bulacan Wednesday night, police said.

The fatalities were identified as Marino Gonzales, Reynaldo Managan, Ajerico Mejio, and Ronino Dimagiba, and the two injured as Jessie Gamos and Randy Silungan.

In the first mishap, the tricycle driven by Gonzales and carrying Managan, Mejio and Gamos rammed into a truck along the Cagayan Valley Road in Barangay Sta. Cruz at around 11:15 p.m.

Forty-five minutes later, Dimagiba died on the spot when his tricycle crashed into a 10-wheeler truck along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Tuktukan, also in Guiguinto. Silungan survived the mishap. – Ric Sapnu, Dino Balabo
