Stocks could hit new all-time high next week

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Four people were killed and 10 others were injured when a passenger jeepney collided with a dump truck along the national highway in Rosario, Batangas Thursday afternoon.

SPO4 Isidro Ancieta, Rosario police chief, identified two of the four fatalities as Savino Valencia and Benjamin Pineda, both residents of Barangay San Marcelino, Taysan, Batangas.

Ancieta said the injured were rushed to the Malabanan General Hospital and Maderoza General Hospital for treatment.

He said the passenger jeep, driven by one Emeterino Escala, was en route to Pinaglabanan, Quezon from Rosario town when it smashed into a dump truck parked along the highway. The jeepney driver, Emeterino Escala, escaped after the incident.        – Ed Amoroso
