Moro rebs attack 2 farming villages

CAMP SIONGCO, Shariff Kabunsuan — Moro rebels killed a militiaman as they swooped down on two farming villages in Midsayap, North Cotabato the other day, forcing hundreds of people to flee their homes.

Midsayap Mayor Romeo Araña said the groups of Moro Islamic Liberation Front commanders Samal Masgal, Garduque Lansi-yon, and Orih Sugud attacked the two villages in Barangay Rangaban, raking houses with automatic gunfire and shoulder-fired rockets. — John Unson
