Drug pushers nabbed

Ormoc City — Charges of violating RA 9165, the law on illegal drugs were filed by the local PDEA operative Monday against three persons who were caught in a buy bust operation about 2 a.m. Saturday inside a lodging house here.

Police Chief Inspector Elmer Estolano, PDEA chief here identified the three suspects as Christina Bermejo, 40, separated, a lavandera; Orlando Maglasang, 29,single; and Reynaldo Cañete, 27, married; all neighbors in Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Ipil, this city.

PDEA operative SPO1 Alberto Pepito told The STAR that an operative who posed as a buyer apprehended the three after the buy bust. Confiscated from them was a plastic sachet containing white crystalline, which later found positive to be shabu by the PNP Crime laboratory in Palo, Leyte. — Roberto Dejon
