Kidnap gang leader slain in Laguna

A suspected leader of a notorious kidnap-for-ransom gang was killed while two of his alleged henchmen were arrested in a shootout in Cabuyao, Laguna yesterday.
A report reaching Camp Crame said Jugadong Mondrial, 37, said to be a leader of the Waray-Waray Abuyog Gang, was killed after he shot it out with lawmen.
His two alleged cohorts, Roger Gonzaga, 23, and Jonald Karangalan, 27, were subsequently arrested.
Policemen encountered Mondrials group after they had robbed the MJ Junk Shop along Gizmo Road in Barangay Pulo.
The lawmen were conducting surveillance in the area after getting information that Mondrials group was planning to rob the Nippon Express export trading company in Cabuyao town. With Ed Amoroso
