P4.5 M worth of marijuana burned

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet At least 18,000 fully grown marijuana plants, 3,000 marijuana seedlings and 35 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves valued at P4.5 million were burned here this week, following an intensified operation in the mountain town of Kibungan.
Joint operatives of the Benguet Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, Kibungan and Kapangan town policemen, police mobile groups and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera conducted a marijuana eradication campaign last week.
The campaign was specifically targeted at sitio Naptong and sitio Bito in Barangay Badeo, Kibungan town where marijuana plants were uprooted and torched. Artemio Dumlao
