Union leader gunned down

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group has formed a special investigation team to look into the gunslaying of the acting union president of a bus company in Calamba City last Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Mark Edison Belarma, the new CIDG-Region IV-A director, said the team, with the help of regional police intelligence agents and the Calamba police, is probing the killing of Nemesio Aquino, acting president of the JAM Liner employees union.
Two motorcycle-riding men shot Aquino twice in the back with a caliber .45 pistol as he stepped out of the labor departments regional office in Calamba City to have lunch at about 12:30 p.m.
Police said Aquino had just attended a hearing on the graft case against former union president Bonifacio Gura when he was killed. Ed Amoroso and Arnell Ozaeta
