P5-M reward put up for info on kidnapped Batangas trader

Batangas City The family and friends of abducted businessman Precioso "Precy" Macatangay have raised P5 million for anyone who could provide information that will lead to his recovery.
In a press conference held here yesterday, Ruby Macatangay, wife of the victim, said that anyone who could bring back her husband alive will receive the reward, no questions asked.
Her voice occasionally cracking, Macatangay apologized to the media for turning herself scarce in interviews with regards to her husbands abduction.
"I hope you all understand what Ive been through. Now, Im appealing for your help in disseminating our familys decision to give this reward," Macatangay told the media.
Precioso Macatangay, a well-known businessman here was allegedly abducted by four armed men who introduced themselves as agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in a cockpit parking lot past midnight of June 18.
Macatangay just stepped out of the San Pascual Sports Complex at around 1:40 a.m. when one of the four armed men hit him in the head with a handgun and shoved him inside a blue Toyota Revo.
A cigarette vendor who witnessed the incident said four heavily tinted vehicles, including Macatangays Toyota Hi-lux pick-up with license plate VDR-818, were seen rushing out of the parking lot located between the boundaries of Barangay Danglayan in San Pascual and Barangay Sta. Rita in Batangas City.
Eight hours later, police recovered Macatangays vehicle abandoned somewhere in San Jose, Del Monte, Bulacan. Probers also found the rope reportedly used to tie Macatangay inside the vehicle. No communication has been received from the alleged kidnappers.
