6 new crime syndicates busted in La Union

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union Six newly identified criminal groups operating in Luzon, particularly in Metro Manila, were neutralized recently.
La Union police director Senior Superintendent Franklin Bucayu, identified the six groups as the Pedros Agaw-Cellphone Gang, Lagmasen Akyat-bahay Gang, Madrigal and Caballero Syndicates, Dasalla Robbery Group and Moreno Group.
"The leaders and members of these new criminal groups were arrested as a result of our revitalized investigation system," Bucayu told The STAR in an interview.
Bucayu also reported that 104 wanted persons were arrested from Jan. 1 to April 30, two of whom are most wanted persons with P250,000 bountyfor their capture.
On illegal drugs, Bucayu reported that 33 drug personalities were neutralized in the first quarter and P12.6 million worth of illegal drugs (more than 2 kilos shabu and 500 kilos marijuana) were seized. Jun Elias
