Mom kills 3 children, then self

TAYABAS, Quezon — A 44-year-old mother killed her three children aged three to eight by slashing their throats and letting them bleed to death and then hanged herself inside their house here Thursday morning, police said.

Superintendent Romeo Caranza, Tayabas police chief, identified the fatalities as Norma Labado and her children Jerymiah, 8; Jaypee, 6; and Ira, 3.

Police said Labado’s husband Godofredo reported the incident after finding his wife and three children dead inside their house in Barangay Ilayang Ilasan, about 15 to 20 kilometers from the town proper.

Caranza said Labado could have snapped out of her right mind and committed the crime.
