Girl, 4, dead, 66 injured in bus plunge

PAGBILAO, Quezon — A four-year-old girl was killed while 66 others were injured when a passenger bus plunged into a ravine in Barangay Silangang Malicboy here yesterday morning, police said.

Police said the JVH Transport bus lost its brakes, causing it to fall into the 15-foot deep ravine, pinning four-year-old Cindy Bagal, of Manapipi, Biliran, to death.

Those injured were rushed to the Jane County Hospital here and the Quezon Memorial Hospital in Lucena City. — Arnell Ozaeta
