Lanao Sur pols endorse Adiong

Engineer Mamintal Adiong has been endorsed by political leaders of Lanao del Sur led by acting Vice Gov. and Sanggu—niang Panlalawigan presiding officer Rolan Abdularashid Macarambon, 10 provincial board members and 23 municipal mayors to be the official Lakas-CMD candidate for governor in the event recall elections are held in the province.

A petition for recall has been initiated against Gov. Basher Manalao for loss of confidence in his leadership following his suspension imposed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

In an official resolution, the Lanao del Sur provincial board said a petition for Manalao’s recall has been filed with the Commission on Elections and has satisfied the legal requirements as to its authenticity and genuineness, including the required percentage of voters.
