GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija Police have expressed doubts on the reported failed ambush of a councilor here last Sunday morning.
Superintendent Roel Obusan, intelligence and investigation chief of the provincial police, however, said they would dig deeper into the claim of councilor Marsolito Velasco that he was waylaid by motorcycle-riding men in the absence of witnesses and hard evidence.
"First, it was only councilor Velasco who reported it to us. Secondly, only two bullets were fired. Medyo hindi kapani-paniwala (Its a little bit incredible)," he said.
