Chief Inspector Salonga Abuggao, of the Ifugao police command, said the robbers ransacked the provincial treasurers office and took off with P531,948 in cash, 16 checks worth P319,858, ATM cards and some office equipment.
Abuggao suspects that the robbers could also be the ones responsible for the recent spate of robberies in the province.
Among those victimized were the local offices of the departments of the interior and local government, trade and industry, and public works and highways, which lost a total of at least P500,000 in cash and equipment.
Abuggao said the perpetrators could belong to the highway robbery and akyat-bahay syndicates operating in the Cordilleras and Cagayan Valley.
