Fire hits private school in Rizal

A fire caused by faulty electrical wiring razed to the ground yesterday a private school and a residential building in San Mateo, Rizal.
Nobody was injured in the fire as majority of the students had been dismissed before the fire struck.
Damage to property was placed at P1.8 million.
Arson prober FO1 Ricky Flores said the fire started at about 12 noon at the ceiling of a room at the ground floor of the Maranata School along Gen. Luna street in Barangay Guitnang Bayan.
Flores said Myra Tolen, a school staffer, noticed a short circuit at the ceiling of the ground floor room.
The fire, which lasted for one hour and 20 minutes, also destroyed an adjoining house owned by Conrado Buenviaje, Flores said. Non Alquitran
