Fire hits Jaen public market

JAEN, Nueva Ecija A fire blamed on faulty electrical wiring razed majority of the stalls in this towns public market at dawn of New Years Day with damage placed at about P15 million.
The fire, according to SFO1 Efren Sebastian, Jaen fire marshal, originated from the Fely Mercado Drugstore at about 1:20 a.m. and quickly spread to the adjoining stalls.
The stalls had reportedly been slated for demolition to pave the way for the construction starting this month of a multimillion-peso, two-story public market. Manny Galvez
