Pampanga educator missing

- Ric Sapnu, -
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — One of the Most Outstanding Kapampangans honored last Dec. 11 has been reported missing, the police said.

Senior Superintendent Leonardo Espina, Pampanga police director, said Wilfredo Ocampo, whom the provincial government honored in the field of education, failed to return home after attending a Christmas party at the Holy Angel University in Angeles City last Dec. 21.

Espina said the Mabalacat police found Ocampo’s Mitsubishi Lancer abandoned along a dirt road at the boundary of Barangays Dapdap and Sapang Biabias the following day.

Found inside the car were the identification card and driver’s license of Ocampo, a special supervisor of the Special Sciences High School in Angeles City.

Ocampo’s son Wilfred Joseph said his father left their residence in Barangay Marisol, Angeles City at about 4 p.m. of Dec. 21 to attend the Christmas party.

Since then, there has been no call from him or from his kidnappers, if ever he was abducted, he said.
