Boy, 8, killed in Batangas blaze

BAUAN, Batangas An eight-year-old boy was killed in a fire that gutted his parents house here last Thursday night, the police said.
Senior Fire Officer Dennis Faltado, Bauan fire chief, said the victim, Paulo Sanchez, a Grade 3 pupil, was trapped in the second floor of the house when the blaze struck.
Faltado said the boy had wrapped himself with a blanket.
Probers said the fire, which lasted for more than one hour, could have originated in the kitchen of a certain Lucita and quickly spread to the adjacent house of her brother Trinidad.
