3 killed in Cavite blast

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna Three fishermen were killed when a vintage bomb which they had tried to open went off at the coastal boundary of Tanza and Rosario towns in Cavite yesterday morning, the police said.
Witnesses said the victims Johnny Licanda, 46; Benedicto Peñaflor, 39; and Ricardo Mongolio, all residents of Barangay Wawa, Rosario town tried to saw off the bombs shell to get the gunpowder inside it.
The police said the blast was so strong that it was heard a few kilometers away. Arnell Ozaeta
