2 ‘bombers’ arrested aboard ferry

- Edu Punay -
Elements of the Coast Guard’s Task Force Sea Marshal arrested two natives of Zamboanga del Sur and seized explosive materials from them on board a passenger ferry in Dumaguete City yesterday morning.

The Coast Guard identified the two as Daniel Roxas Bobila and Edito Bobila, whose baggage was found to contain ammonium nitrate, four cans of Detia gas, four cans of Phosphine gas, and a can of lighters.

Roving elements of Task Force Sea Marshal accosted the two men a few hours before the commercial vessel docked in Dumaguete, the Coast Guard said in a report.

The two were reportedly showing signs of unease, prompting the Coast Guard personnel to approach them and check their baggage.
