SUBIC BAY FREEPORT Investigators have gathered strong leads that should result in an early resolution of the P1.8 robbery heist at the treasury department here, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Administrator Armand Arreza said yesterday.
In an exclusive interview with The STAR, Arreza expressed confidence that the robbery involving the theft of P1.8 million that was taken from the safety deposit vault of the SBMA treasury will be solved.
"We will be considering the case solved as soon as the final conduct of the investigation is completed and we will file criminal and administrative cases against the suspects," Arresa said.
However, Arreza did not make any disclosures on the identities of the suspect and vital witnesses as investigations are still ongoing.
"We want to protect the identities of the witnesses who have provided us with strong circumstantial evidence to finally pin-down the culprits," Arreza explained.
"We can assure the public and the investors that the authorities in the Freeport are still in control of the situation," Arreza said.
"We will institute reforms and upgrade security measures to provide protection to our locators, residence and tourists," Arreza also said. Bebot Sison Jr.
