Reds kill 3 soldiers

Three Army soldiers were killed while two others were wounded when they were ambushed by suspected New People’s Army rebels in Bislig City yesterday morning.

Reports reaching Camp Crame, however, failed to identify the slain and wounded men of the Charlie Company of the Army’s 36th Infantry Battalion.

The soldiers were reportedly pursuing rebels who attacked an Army outpost in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur when they were waylaid. — Cecille Suerte Felipe
