2 killed, 3 wounded in Psinan ambush

SUAL, Pangasinan Two men were killed while three others were wounded when unidentified men peppered the passenger van they were riding in with bullets along the national highway here last Saturday afternoon.
SP03 Perfecto Sison of the Sual police told The STAR that the vans driver, Allan de Guzman, 30, and one of his passengers, George Gringo Rivera, 18, a student, were declared dead on arrival at the Alaminos Doctors Hospital.
Those wounded were identified as Jell Abarra, 28, a nurse at the Virgen Milagrosa Hospital in San Carlos City; Elizabeth Caaya, 60; and Ricky Catabay, 17, also a student.
Four other passengers were unhurt.
Investigation showed that the van was heading toward Alaminos City when it was fired at with M-16 Armalite rifles.
Police probers found 17 empty shells at the ambush scene.
