2 jail guards face raps over escape

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan The provincial administrator has asked the acting provincial warden to file an administrative case against the two jail guards responsible for the escape of a high-profile drug suspect in Dagupan City last Wednesday morning.
Lawyer Virgilio Solis, provincial administrator, told The STAR yesterday that he has issued a memorandum to retired Senior Superintendent Rogelio Paglingayen, officer-in-charge of the provincial jail, to file administrative charges against jail guards David Motas and Renato Mendejar.
The two were escorting drug suspect Jimmy Daru Lumna, 56, when he slipped away after attending a court hearing in Dagupan. Eva Visperas
