Spaghetti downs 35 in Misamis

-
ILIGAN CITY — At least 29 Grade 1 pupils and six adults fell ill after eating spaghetti during a birthday celebration at the Lugait Central School in Misamis Oriental yesterday.

The municipal health officer said one of the pupils brought spaghetti to school and ate it with his classmates during their recess to celebrate his birthday.

But three hours later, 29 of the 43 pupils who ate the spaghetti, together with six adults, including three teachers, vomited and complained of dizziness and stomach ache.

They were immediately rushed to different hospitals, and most of them were subsequently discharged. — Lino de la Cruz, Richel Umel
