"This is a very unfortunate incident, which I would like investigated right away," Philippine National Police chief Director General Arturo Lomibao told Chief Superintendent Andy Caro, head of the PNP Aviation Security Group.
Slain were Superintendent Loreno Vicente and Chief Inspector Hadji Ali, heads of the 10th Police Center for Aviation Security and the police station at the Lumbia airport, respectively. Both were shot in the head.
Caro said airport policemen arrested the suspect, PO1 Cenon Madrial, after the incident.
Investigation showed that Madrial also suffered a gunshot wound, apparently fired by either Vicente or Ali.
