MBC to hold Davao City gab despite court plea

DAVAO CITY — The 14th Mindanao Business Conference will push through in this city starting tomorrow despite a court petition questioning its holding here, an official of the Mindanao Business Council (MBC) said yesterday.

MBC vice chairman Romeo Serra said the Dipolog City chamber of commerce filed a petition with the Dipolog regional trial court seeking a temporary restraining order, arguing that the city won the right to host the conference in 2003.

But Serra said they would proceed with the conference even if the Dipolog RTC issues a TRO. — Edith Regalado
