‘Red Vigilante’ man tagged in Ecija slay

-
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police have tagged a member of the so-called "Red Vigilante group" as responsible for the killing of a businessman inside an amusement center in Cabanatuan City last Aug. 7.

The gunman’s identity was established through an artist’s sketch based on the description of a woman who claimed to have seen him shoot Gregorio Santos, 49, at the NE Pacific Mall.

The artist’s sketch was matched with pictures in the files of the Nueva Ecija police and it fitted that of a certain "Charger," a suspected hit man of the Red Vigilante gang.

Santos was watching a video game together with his son, Jefferson, when he was shot at close range. — Ric Sapnu
