Task force to probe killings of 2 NE traders

-
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Chief Superintendent Alejandro Lapinid, Central Luzon police director, has formed a task force to solve the separate gunslayings of two traders in Cabanatuan City last weekend.

The victims were identified as Gina Batisan, 43, engaged in money lending, who was gunned down by two motorcycle-riding men in front of her house in Barangay Aduas Centro; and Gregorio Santos, 49, who was attacked inside an amusement center at the NE Pacific Mall.

With the spate of killings in Nueva Ecija, Lapinid ordered Superintendent Rosueto Ricaforte, Regional Mobile Group chief, to deploy a team there to assist the local police in manning checkpoints. — Ric Sapnu
