3 killed in car-bus collision in Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga Three passengers of a Mitsubishi Adventure, two of them women, were killed when a passenger bus smashed into their vehicle along the national highway in Barangay Joson, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, last Tuesday night.
Police said only one of the three fatalities, who were on board the Mitsubishi Adventure with license plate CTV-114, was identified as Anthony Nicolas, 27, of Paombong, Bulacan.
The Adventure, driven by Generoso Gomez, 50, was southbound when a Norton Transit bus (BVJ-896), driven by Saldo Consol, hit it.
The two still unidentified women died on the spot due to multiple severe injuries, the police said. Nicolas did not reach the hospital alive.
Their two companions, Edgar Gonzales, 59, and Narcisa Gonzales, 47, were taken to the San Jose City District Hospital.
