Dagupan exec’s ex-cop aide slain

DAGUPAN CITY — A former police security escort of Dagupan Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez was gunned down here Thursday night a few hours after his group had recovered several boxes of stolen brandy.

Superintendent Jesse Cardona, city police chief, said the victim, SPO2 Danilo Frias, 49, had served as security escort of Fernandez and his father, former mayor, now Immigration Commissioner Alipio Fernandez Jr.
