CEBU A second police bust bus equipped with a comfort room, a desk for investigation, and a detention cell was detailed yesterday in Cebu Citys downtown area to work in tandem with the first vehicle launched three years ago.
According to Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch chief Paul Labra, the detailing of the first bust bus on Colon street was effective in dealing with street crimes so they are deploying another unit.
Labra said that the second bust bus would be stationed at the corner of P. del Rosario and Leon Kilat streets. It will be manned by a police officer while members of the Barangay Intelligence Network will act as backup force everyday. Personnel will be spread to include the South Bus Terminal.
The second bus was turned over by Councilor Augustus "Jun" Pe to the city police yesterday, along with a mobile patrol that also has a detention cell. Freeman News Service
