ARMM exec shot dead

-
COTABATO CITY — A motorcycle-riding gunman shot dead the manager of the Regional Ports Authority (RPA) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) in a daring attack on a busy area here yesterday.

Senior Inspector Roger Legaspi, chief of the city’s Rosary Heights police precinct, said the fatality, Murshid Tutuh, a Tausog, was alighting from his car in front of the RPA office when the gunman approached, pulled out a caliber. 45 revolver and opened fire.

Tutuh is a known protegé of ARMM Gov. Parouk Hussin.

The gunman casually left the area on board a motorcycle driven by his unidentified companion, who also acted as a look out.

In a statement, Hussin said he is ready to shell out an earnest amount in exchange for any information leading to the arrest of the killers. Legaspi said investigators are still gathering information on the identities of the suspects and the motive for the murder. — John Unson
