The clean-up drive will feature the candidates of Miss Earth 2004 who will drum up environmental preservation awareness to sustain efforts to keep the resort island clean.
The Miss Earth 2004 candidates are expected to arrive at the Caticlan airport in the morning of Oct. 30 and will proceed to Boracay shortly after a luncheon press conference at Hotel Seraph.
In the evening, the Miss Earth beauties will be feted to a dinner and games at the Boracay Regency Hotel where they will be welcomed by Marquezs son, Jess Marquez, of the provincial governors office. There will be more games, dance and drinks later in the night at the Boracay Terraces Resort.
The clean-up drive proper will be held the following day, to be led by Marquez, Rep. Florencio Miraflores and Malay Mayor Ceciron Cawaling and participated in by various stakeholders on the island.
Divers will also undertake an underwater clean-up.
Last month, Miss Earth 2003 Dania Prince of Honduras and Miss Philippines-Air Nadia Camolli visited Boracay as a prelude to clean-up drive.
