Ex-PAF man, 2 daughters, pal waylaid

CEBU A retired Air Force colonel, his two daughters and a female companion escaped unhurt when unidentified men aboard a taxi fired at their vehicle in Mandaue City last Friday night, police said.
The retired airman, Teofilo Lood, his daughters Cherryl, 25, and Filma, 23, and a certain Araceli Igot were on their way to Lapu-Lapu City from Cebu City aboard a Toyota Revo when they were ambushed along Areston Cortes Avenue in Barangay Alang-Alang at about 10 p.m.
Police said the gunmen got near Loods vehicle and fired at least two shots, the last one shattering the rear window. Lood then sped off toward a gasoline station where he called up the police. The gunmen did not follow and fled toward Cebu City.
Lood said he has no idea who could attempt to kill him. Freeman News Service
