ZAMBOANGA CITY A blind man stabbed another blind man to death, using his sense of touch to find the victim, when they and a group of blind companions were in the suspects home here last Monday night, police said.
Edmundo Geraldiso, 54, was apparently motivated to kill Reynaldo Concordia due to a long-held suspicion that he had caused his wife to leave him, Chief Inspector Jonathan Perez, chief of the Tetuan police substation, said.
Concordia, accompanied by a group of blind companions, visited Geraldisos home after they arrived from Bukidnon, and Geraldiso felt his way to Concordias side, police said.
Geraldiso asked the victim if he was Concordia, and when he answered positively, Geraldiso stabbed him fatally in the chest, police said.
Geraldiso, who is in police custody, admitted the crime, according to police, saying, "I felt very sad and angry and I just kept it inside of me when my wife abandoned me." Roel Pareño, AFP
