Late actress’ pa nabbed for slay

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested the father of the late actress Halina Perez for the gunslaying of a Laguna vice mayor last month.

NBI director Reynaldo Wycoco said Renato Uri, father of Perez who was Vanessa Uri in real life, was charged with murder for the death of Vice Mayor Rex Emmanuel Real of Sta. Maria town last July 18.

The NBI said eyewitnesses have identified Uri as the one who shot Real while the latter was playing billiards with his friends. Real died from four gunshot wounds.

Authorities are still clueless on the motive behind Real’s killing.
