Padaca’s life story on GMA-7

ILAGAN, Isabela — Isabelinos are now eagerly awaiting the showing of the life story of Gov. Grace Padaca, a polio-victim who ended the more than three decades domination of a well-entrenched political clan in the province.

Her life story, Padaca told The STAR, will be finally shown on Aug. 12 over GMA 7’s "Magpakailanman" hosted by Mel Tiangco. To play Padaca’s character is talk show host and drama actress Janice de Belen.

The scriptwriters focused on Padaca’s struggle in life despite her disability, the painful experiences during her childhood which molded her to become a strong-willed person.

Padaca, a magna cum laude graduate and certified public accountant (CPA), was a former radio commentator before she first entered politics in 2001.

Padaca’s life story is worth watching especially the young as they can pick up lessons which could teach them how to prevail in life, said Raffy Jacinto, Padaca’s vice gubernatorial running mate. — Lito Salatan
