Tornado injures 2 in Masbate

LEGASPI CITY Two persons were injured when a tornado hit Barangay Divisoria in Cawayan town, Masbate early in the morning last Saturday, police said.
Chief Superintendent Jaime Lasar, Bicol police regional director and concurrent chair of the Bicol Regional Disaster Coordinating Council (BRDCC), said that the tornado struck Sitio Bongalon at about 1:30 a.m. while the residents were fast asleep.
Lasar said the houses of Lito Alboro and Cresencio Cordiñera were destroyed and two motorboats owned by a certain Noel Reveral were wrecked.
Probers placed the damage to properties at P200,000. Celso Amo
