Padaca assured of support from the opposition

Provincial board members of Isabela who belong to the opposition have assured newly elected Gov. Grace Padaca of their "unconditional support."
Padaca said during a forum by the Kilosbayan at the University of the Philippines in Manila that majority of the board members and mayors of the province, including the two children of former Gov. Faustino Dy, have pledged their support for her.
Dys two children, who are also local executives in Isabela, have called on Padaca and assured her of their cooperation.
Padacas victory in one of the most bitterly contested polls in the province ended Dys 30-year rule.
"My winning is a sign that there are big changes among voters. The united opposition chose me because Im the exact opposite of Gov. Dy," Padaca said. Pia Lee-Brago
