Hospital security officer killed in ambush; wife hurt

Balanga City, Bataan The security officer of the Mariveles Center for Mental Health was killed while his wife was seriously wounded during an ambush in Mariveles town yesterday morning.
Superintendent Ernesto Flores, Mariveles police chief, said Froilan Raymundo, 51, and his wife, Emily, 49, an administrative officer of the hospital, were on board a Tamaraw FX when two men fired at them with caliber .45 pistols along Burgos street in Barangay Poblacion.
Flores said Burgos is the busiest street in Mariveles with several commercial establishments and a public high school located there.
Raymundo died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. His wife sustained a gunshot wound in the right arm.
Police found l7 empty caliber .45 shells, four slugs and one live bullet at the crime scene.
Investigators still had no leads on the attack.
