Papin losing

NAGA CITY Singer Imelda Papin, who has served as vice governor of Camarines Sur, is losing in the congressional race in the provinces fourth district.
This is based on partial and official count of the provincial office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) of election returns from Iriga City and Nabua in the fourth district as of 2 p.m. yesterday,
Papin (LDP-Kampi) got 21,351 votes while her rival, Felix Alfelor Jr. (Lakas-CMD), garnered 36,486 votes.
The fourth congressional district (Rinconada area) is composed of Iriga City and the towns of Baao, Bula, Buhi, Nabua, Bato and Balatan. It has a total of 197,379 registered voters.
In the gubernatorial race, Luis Raymond Villafuerte Jr. (Lakas-CMD) was leading with 39,906 votes. Trailing behind were Emmanuel Alfelor (LP) with 29,350 votes, and Felix William Fuentebella (NPC) with 22,215 votes. Celso Amo
