Cavite under Comelec control

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has added Cavite, a bailiwick of presidential candidate Sen. Panfilo Lacson, in its list of places under its control.
This brings the total to four provinces and 60 cities and municipalities under Comelec control.
Besides Cavite, the latest additions to the list were the municipalities of Malabon and Sultan Kudarat and Cotabato City.
A gunbattle between rival candidates in Trece Martires City in Cavite recently resulted in the death of four people.
Earlier placed under Comelec control were the provinces of Masbate, Basilan and Sulu, as well as cities and municipalities in Isabela (eight), Pangasinan (six), Ilocos Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Camarines Sur and Ilocos Sur (three each), Maguindanao, Bukidnon, Cagayan and Ilocos Norte (two each), and Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Batangas, Albay, Zamboanga Sibugay, Tawi-Tawi, Misamis Occidental, Compostela Valley and Lanao del Sur (one each).
