MALOLOS, Bulacan A Chinese-Filipino businessman was meted double life prison terms for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Malolos Regional Trial Court Judge Oscar Herrera also ordered the convict, Willy Ko, to pay a total fine of P1 million for the two cases filed against him by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Ko was arrested in a buy-bust in Obando town on March 3 last year. He sold 993.104 grams of shabu to a poseur-buyer and yielded an additional 1.0014 grams when he was nabbed.
Herrera dismissed Kos claims that PDEA agents merely abducted him, saying these were "self-serving and cannot prevail over the positive declarations of the police officers." James Mananghaya
