Seized trader rescued

ZAMBOANGA CITY Marines rescued a former bank employee-turned-businessman snatched last December by suspected Abu Sayyaf men, in a remote village in Patikul, Sulu last Friday night.
Lt. Gen. Roy Kyamko, chief of the Armed Forces Southern Command, said the abductors of Ramon Enoferio abandoned him after they sensed that the government troopers were nearing their lair in Barangay Maligay.
Enoferio was snatched near his house in Barangay Kasanyangan in the capital town of Jolo. He was believed to have been turned over to the Abu Sayyaf group led by Radulan Sahiron. Roel Pareño, Jaime Laude
