The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed extortion charges against a Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) examiner who was caught in an entrapment in Cabanatuan City last week.
NBI director Reynaldo Wycoco said his men arrested examiner Nemie Ann Suero-Santos on the complaint of Danilo Escuadro, security officer of the National Power Corp.
Escuadro claimed that Santos allegedly asked him to give P5,000 for the processing of his capital gains tax, but later agreed to P3,000. Unknown to her, Escuardo sought the NBIs help. Cecille Suerte Felipe
