Traffic re-routing in Makati
February 21, 2004 | 12:00am
The Makati Traffic Enforcement Unit (MTEU) has advised all motorists, both private and public utility vehicles, traversing Pasong Tamo Avenue (from A.P. Reyes to Bagtikan), that there will be re-routing in the area starting today up to March 31.
Inspector Gilbert Loteria of the MTEU, said the traffic re-routing is due to the completion of the Metro Manila Urban Transport Integration Project (MMUTIP) being undertaken by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Loteria is encouraging private motorists to take Pasong Tirad street before turning right to Vito Cruz Extension to reach the Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, or to take Kalayaan Avenue and then turn right to Zapote Road to reach Ayala Avenue.
Likewise, the MTEU is urging public utility drivers plying Mantrade and LRT to take Hippodrome street then turn right to Zapote street, left to Metropolitan Avenue, right to Dau street, left to Kamagong street toward Ayala Avenue Extension then right to Yakal street back to Pasong Tamo.
